Our 3rd Transnational Erasmus+ meeting took place from 13th-17th May 2019 in Lovech, Bulgaria.

This meeting was attended by students from all corporate schools. From our school four (4) students of the Sixth class moved there.

The theme which students and teachers had to work on until the meeting was “landscape photography” and “land art”, as well as “waste art” photography.

With the photos we took through our activities, we made calendars and bookmarks that we offered as a gift with a backpack decorated with the logo of the programme to the students of the corporate schools that took part in the meeting.

Our visit started with the meeting of three, out of six, schools in Sofia on Sunday 12th May. From there we went by bus to Lovech.

Visiting programme

Day 1: The Director, teachers and school pupils welcomed us in the courtyard of their school. The students had prepared a musical feast with songs, traditional dances and puppetry. Then, at the entrance of the school, we were welcomed with the so-called “traditional welcome bread”. Afterwards the teachers were guided to the classrooms, while the guest students were divided into  the classes and attended part of the lessons. Later there was a presentation of the educational activities agreed for this meeting.

Day 2: In the morning we had a bus drive to the park and its waterfalls. Then we reached the famous Devetashka Cave. In these places workshops for students were organised.

Day 3: We visited the town of Gabrovo and the open-air museum Etara. Then we headed to the Tsarevets fortress of the old capital of Bulgaria Veliko Turnovo. In the evening we watched the show “Sound and Light”, an impressive sight with alternating lighting and laser on the walls of the castle. This show takes place once a year on the anniversary of the liberation of the city and was presented specifically for the students and teachers of Erasmus +.

Day 4: The day began with a tour of the old town of Lovech, the covered bridge and the castle of the city. Then the Mayor of the city welcomed us to the Town Hall, where we discussed on the programme and the schools involved offered souvenirs. A partner meeting was then held at the school to assess the course of the programme so far and discussed on the activities of the next meeting in Latvia. A “farewell dinner” was organised in the evening with a musical programme and traditional dances. Students and teachers had a great time.

Day 5: Meeting of all partners for goodbye and work summary. Departures.

Finally, we shouldn’t neglect to mention  that, through all the activities of the meeting, the students obtained significant experience both by interacting with the students of the corporate schools and by their contact with different cultures.
